The lengths to which some of the mainstream media goes to cover for President Obama never ceases to amaze...
Yesterday, CBS released a poll that said:
Despite countless assertions by President Obama and his top aides that there is no silver bullet he can fire or magic wand he can wave to quickly bring down gas prices, a CBS News/New York Times poll out tonight shoes 54 percent of those surveyed believe that the gas prices are something the president "can do a lot about."
And since the price of gasoline has soared 51 cents a gallon since the beginning of the year, the new poll also shows Americans my hold President Obama to blame.
Today, right on cue, the Sacramento Bee's print edition runs the Washington Post story on the front page (jumping to fill a large chunk of the back, too) with “experts” shrilly saying it’s not Obama’s fault and there’s nothing he or anyone else can do about it! The headline: President Controls Gas Prices, Right? Nope, say oil experts.
This was the same president (then candidate) who blamed Bush for everything and noted that prices went up on his watch. And the media dutifully reported Obama's comments.
Here is Obama blaming Bush for near $4.00 gas in Indiana circa 2007:
This is what the Media was saying about high gas prices circa 2007:
